I had my last 3 pairs of Nikon 16x50 for 16 years. Illegal migrants crossing from Del Rio , Texas area into the U.S. broke into my cabin , 30 miles into South Texas and stole all 3 pair , among other personal items. First time in 16 years! First thing replaced , Nikon 16x50 binoculars! What did I like about these binoculars? Everything! Crystal clear view, not too heavy, Nikon Quality! Need I say more? I think not!

These are good binoculars but interestingly, not easy to use. I mean they are binoculars so how hard can they be to use? Comparatively speaking, the things that all binoculars do- fit your eyes, focus on subject, attach to tripod- this one should have been perfect but it’s not.

Best binoculars I've ever owned. Super clear, east to use. Water proof so you don't have to worry about a little rain.

Great clarity. Go them for birding but fun to use for everything

The preponderance of these reviews seem to be for the 10x50s, not the 16s, that I propose to review. To begin with the AE 16x50 bins are a truly outstanding unit; and a bargain to boot. It is my opinion that they stand side-by-side with even some of the larger and WAY more expensive 70mm bins, in depth of field, edge-to-edge resolution and quality of true color rendition...Not to mention ergonomic excellence. Maybe the exit pupil is a bit restrictive, but only a negligible complaint therein. I have seen the Jovian disk, albeit in very good seeing conditions, including that particular morning Io just emerging from behind at what must have been merely seconds of distance! Also, having encountered a collimation error, Nikon more than only corrected them, but sent me a new pair. Excellent service to say the least!

These are Value minded binocs and not of high quality. I would rec you save your money for some time and get a pair of Minox 15 power for 599 or Vortex 15power for 650. The images are okay in the middle of the day but they struggle to gather light in early AM and late eves. The edges are blurred. Higher power binocs of quality are hard to,come by and you get what you pay for,,,,,, Go try some high power binocs and compare, then shop for the best deal.

We were able to see whales clearly from the shore, which is what we wanted. We need to get a tripod because the binos do get heavy after awhile.

Could not decide if these would be worth the money. Compared to others that I have used these are hands down the best binoculars that you can get in this price range. Worked great for my applications.

16 power binoculars are difficult to hold steady and these are no exception. They do come with a tripod mount which would help. The only problem I've found is the very slight chromatic aberration. Considering the low price, the image quality is very acceptable. I think most people would be happier with 8x40 binoculars which are much easier to hold steady.

Purchased these for my boat. I'm very satisfied with performance. Had a hard time seeing what the next boat over was pulling in with my previous pair of 8x. At 16x I'm practically in the net with my neighbor's catch. Other than the price, and they are pricey, I'd recommend these to anyone. I'm not into astronomy, but the moon looks awesome as well. I also noticed a lot of stars that are not visible with the naked eye. So a+ on low light viewing as well.
