About Nikon 18 x 70 Astroluxe-XL

Nikon's astronomy binoculars use durable, all-metal construction and O-ring sealed nitrogen filled tubes for waterproof, shockproof and fogproof performance, and a unique "pebbled" surface to provide ergonomic viewing.

Each of the three models utilizes top of the line, coma-corrected lenses and Nikon's exclusive Special Purpose (SP) glass for flare-free pin point image clarity. The glass is specially ground and polished to eliminate surface aberrations and provide crisp, clear resolution and the highest possible light transmission. The lenses and prisms are coated with multiple layers of Nikon's proprietary anti-reflective lens coatings to improve light transmission, enhance color rendition, and provide flare-free viewing. In each binocular, the power is designed to complement a large objective lens delivering the perfect balance of resolution and generous exit pupil.

The 10x70 Astroluxe and 18x70 Astroluxe XL are 12" x 9.2" and weigh 69.8 ounces. A 161' field of view at 1,000 yards and a 3.9mm exit pupil give the 18x70 Astroluxe XL a strong blend of light transmission and resolution. All three models are tripod adaptable for steady, detailed observation.

Shopper  Is there more nose space (space between eye cups) on the Nikon 18x70 than the Fujinon 16x70?
Andrew R  Unfortunately Nikon does not specify the Eye Width Adjustment Range. They are adjustable, however without a spec, it's difficult to provide a comparison.
