I'm glad this stand came with my SB-910 because it makes placement of the flash off camera so convenient. Besides letting the SB-910 be placed on any flat surface, there is a socket underneath to mount it on a tripod.

I bought this to use as an adapter for my light stand. It also works very well as a stand alone. No negative issues at all.

This plastic foot goes on the bottom of a speedlight to prevent it from falling down. The engineering minds at Nikon have done it again!

Works fine, very light, fairly cheap. The older AS-19 feels much sturdier than this, and has a metal tripod socket instead of being moulded into the plastic. I've never had a problem, but the metal thread is nicer to use. The AS-21 is slightly better balanced than the AS-19, being less likely to tip over if pushed backwards.

I was looking for a flash stand for some extra flashes and I only find AS-19 and AS-21 from Nikon. A little better than AS-21 as it has a metal socket. But both works.
