Adorama's caveat notwithstanding, this item works beautifully with a right-angle finder. It allows me to use a Nikon DR-3 I had used with Nikon film cameras with my D200, avoiding the outrageous expense of the D200 right-angle finder. I use it in the studio on a tripod mounted camera positioned below eye level. In this stable mode, there is no problem with the weight of the finder.

Allows use of old FE/FA rubber eyecup on D7000 for more comfortable view through finder. All plastic so may suffer from breakage or fall off when carrying camera w/ strap, only time will tell...

Allows Nikon accessories made for cameras with round eyepieces to be used with rectangular eyepiece cameras such as D200. Very economical alternative for using right angle finder I already had, rather than buying the very expensive finder made for the D200. A bit light for heavy duty use, but works great for ground level macro photography and with tripod at lower than eye level.

This item is made of plastic, and so, subject to breakage. The low price makes carrying a spare a must. I personally rely on it for use with the DG-2 viewfinder 2X magnifier. If this item breaks while in the field, you can easily lose any adapter fitted to it. Exercise due care.

This piece is necessary to attach the DK-3 eyecup and the replacement eyepiece finder for the FE to your D-300. Why didn't Nikon make an eyepiece for this camera?

For many photographers, taking a photograph means raising their camera to their eye, focusing, composing, and pushing the button. What they end up with is a snapshot that certainly explains to their viewer where they were and what they saw, but rarely results in a photograph worthy of being blown...

Not recommended for use with right-angle finders. Physical size, shape and weight of right angle finders make this inadvisable. Use of the DR-6 is recommended.
