Questions about this item:

ED G  Will this lens hood work with the Nikkor 300 F. 2.8 ED IF AF-I made from 1992 to 1996? It originally had a Nikon HK -19 lens hood . Thank you for any suggestions
ALBERT J  I don't know if it will work with that version of lens. I use it with a Nikkor 300mm 2.8 ED AF-S and it works perfectly.
Bob F  I have an older model (non-VR) nikon 300mm 2.8 lens. Is the HK-30 or HK-33 an acceptable replacement for the original HK-22 lens hood?
JOSEPH A  Hi, Prior to owning the VR version of the Nikkor 300 f/2.8G, I also had the 300 f/2.8D (non-VR) model. The newer HK-30 carbon fiber hood should work just fine. The only real difference with the original HK-22, besides the material it's made of, is the length. I believe the HK-22 was a bit longer than the newer hood. But the HK-30 should fit and function just fine, not to mention the carbon fiber just looks great too and is very light weight.
Ian T  the HK-22 is not the original lens hood for the AF-S II, its the lens hood for the AF-S 1
chris k  due it fit the nikon af-i 300mm2.8?
HENRY T  If you are buying replacement len hoods that are from the manufacturer of those lens, there should not be a problem with the fit. I bought a replacement Tamron lens hood for a 70-200 mm f/2.8 Tamron lens, and it was a perfect fit.
GARY C  As long as the lenses have equivalent filter sizes then the hood will be interchangeable as long as you stick with Nikon lenses.
WILLIAM S  I'm out of town until next tuesday and can't remember which lens I have. Send me an email and I'll let you know as soon as I get back. Bill Schaefer
