About Nikon PK-12

Nikon extension rings can be used singly or in combination to vary the reproduction ratio of lenses from 20 to 300mm. They are mounted between the camera body and the lens, As a rule, the effect becomes stronger the shorter the focal length of the lens in use, and the longer the focal length of the extension ring. Through the-lens exposure control automatically compensates for lens extension. Manual and aperture-priority auto-exposure control modes are possible. Manual focus only.

Small tools that work

Great with my D7000 and AIS or manual lenses. I often combine this with other Nikon extension tubes for increased magnification. The strong-all metal construction gives me confidence. Manual focus is rarely a disadvantage in the macro world and these rings work well.

Does not work with NIKKOR G lenses

By

These extension tubes do not work with the newer NIKKOR G type lenses. The only indication of this is in the fine print within the extension tube documentation. Nothing on the adorama description of the product

This tube offers another option

By

from Edinboro, PA  -  Hobbyist/Enthusiast

Worked well with D40x but did not work at all with the D70. The focal point is very tight and focusing must be done manually. This product really provides a different perspective for macro photography. I'm glad I have this as another option.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

Questions about this item:

JOHN K  Will this work with type G lenses?
RICHARD W  Sorry, but no it does not. No autofocus, no metering, nothing except it separates the lens from the camera body. Instead, purchase the Kenko 12mm UniplusTube DG. These ext.tubes have the contact pins to transmit all the lens info to the camera.
LEE S  Will this extension tube work with a Nikor 105mm macro lens on my Nikon D50?
GORDON K  Absolutely. Not only will it work with the 105mm micro, it will work on every Nikon lens that I have tried it with.
Phyllis M  I have a Nikon D90. I'm not sure how to tell if this extension tube will fit on my camera. Can you tell me?
ALAN C  it should it fits both my d80 and d800
