This was the first "refurbished" piece of camera gear I've purchased. Though I was a bit nervous, I must say I'm extremely impressed with it. The unit [...] had almost no visual imperfections other than some barely perceptible "nicks" on the front red cover. Other than this it looked brand new. Both English and Spanish operating manuals were included as well as the mounting foot for using off camera. It works as advertised with no issues. After purchasing this, I would not hesitate to purchase a refurb lens or even camera body if the price was right. The only complaint I have is the dome diffuser that came in the kit. While it fits the SB-600, it has a tendency to "pop-up" off the head of the flash and can easily fall off. It does not snuggly fit around the flash head to remain secure and will most likely fall off if moving the camera around a lot, especially if you tilt it sideways. One other thing - if you are considering this flash, please be aware it is a bit bulky and does add a fair amount of weight to the camera rig. Overall though, this thing is awesome!
