The protection offered by the plan is great. My only concern is that I have not received any notice (paper or electronic) from the plan concerning the coverage. Perhaps it will be forthcoming?

I am very disappointed with Adorama
I bought the New Leaf PLUS 3 Year Service Plan in 02/06/14 and until today (07/05/14) I have not received the certificate. I am very disappointed with Adorama.

Protection for your investments. When you are on the sports field with over $9000.00 of gear on your shoulders anything can happen. The insurance provide peace of mind. If you break on Saturday, you know you won't have to break the bank on Monday.
Purchased for extended warranty on a new Canon DSLR--have not made use of it yet as nothing has gone wrong w/ camera yet.
I purchased the accidental damage coverage for my Nikon Camera. A Good thing!!! While bending down about a month ago to take a shot of my son, I was accidentally pushed and slammed the camaera on the ground. I called New Leaf, my contract was in their systm and I was immediately given instructions and a label to send the camera into a service center in NYC (Phototech). The unit was repaired within a few days and returned to me.
I wanted to not give this any stars, but website mandated the field be filled. My camera is one and half years old. Screen cracked and because it was from something falling on camera instead of because me dropping it from my hands, NOT COVERED A total waste of money. I have never had problems with extended coverage programs in the past and this was poorly and slowly handled, bad customer service and end result was a voicemail with no return phone number informing me it wasn't covered
I would not recommend purchasing this contract, despite the great price compared to other plans, until New Leaf improves their repair times. I purchased this service plan for my Panasonic GM1 which was damaged due to a drop. However, it took three months to get the camera fixed. They send it to a camera repair shop in NYC, who then sent it to Panasonic, who then finally decided they could not fix it and FINALLY sent a replacement. New Leaf was very polite and professional during the entire process, however, they never seemed to know the status of the camera. New Leaf needs to improve their repair process to reduce repair/replacement times.

Hope I don't have to use it, but at this price, it seems like a very reasonable insurance policy.
Many calls and no one seemed able to provide information I was looking for...can't imagine what would happen if I had a claim! Anyone who wants to hear what I mean I still have the voicemail that proves they are not organized or aware of how unaware they are!
I never received information regarding exactly what was covered or not covered in the "Service Plan." Calls to get information were fruitless. They would only take my number and said someone would call me back... They never did! Without providing information regarding the "small print" and unreturned phone calls makes me wonder how they would service the $1700 camera should that be a need!
it is just a protection for the time being
