Of course I have only purchased my camera on December 1st I have not had to claim on this insurance but I do feel a little at ease to know that my refurbished Nikon is covered for 5 years. I am hoping though that I never use it.

This seems to cover all that could be encountered with the exception of theft. Plus Adorama does not rake you over the coals in price for the protection! If this was any higher, I would have passed, so I consider this a win/win.

Hi, I would highly recommend the 5 Year New Leaf Accidental Drops & Spills Protection Plan! Anyone buying an expensive camera should seriously consider getting this plan! If you use your photo equipment a lot this is actually a small expense to be covered for 5 years! If you divide the overall cost of the protection by 5 years the cost per year is not really that great! Better safe than sorry! ................ brady

Love this little camera I always wanted to add a new camera to my collection and did my research at first I wanted a Leica or the canon RP but I found Fuji made a pretty good camera system I’m happy with my purchase.

Before writing this review I read all the reviews posted... Im not sure how people can actually review a warranty plan before they actually need it! Im writing mine after actually needing it. I bought the 5 year plan when I bought my new pentax k-3 dslr. ...Just incase. The "just in case "happened when my camera stopped metering properly... I dug up the warranty and went on line to file the claim. It was pretty quick turn around for New Leaf to contact me 0as latter that day I received an email with info on the repair shop that would contact me.. Adam's Electronics in California. The rep from Adams did contact me and gave me pertinent info. I was a little put out I had to send a battery, charger and lens but I did. An experienced Pentax Repair shop should have these already. ...that was the first flag.Then I went on line to Adam's website and see they are not an authorized Pentax shop. .. That really concerns me . When I tried calling New Leaf it was telephone hell. I was hold forever and then the line hung up. I called again.. same thing. This went on all day.I finally used their contact form and said to call me or email me. When I finally got in touch by email and inquired about the repair shop with New Leaf and asked If they had a Pentax Authorized Repair Shop I can send my camera to I was told "No we do not have an authorize Pentax service provider that you may send your unit into. Typically the reason why we use authorize service providers is when there are parts that are under warranty they are the only service providers that are able to get those parts for free from the manufacture because they have a contract with the manufacture to do work under their warranty at a certain rate. In this situation you have no parts covered under warranty" My feelings are something as sensitive as a dslr camera needs to be repaired by someone that specializes in those brand of cameras. When I purchased this warranty and another one for another K-3 I did not know they do not use Authorized Repair shops. If you are considering buying this warranty don't assume they will use an authorized shop for repairs. Adams stated lead time for repair is 3-4 weeks. The camera itself is no longer made by pentax so it will be interesting how things will be handled if the Camera can not be fixed. Honestly I am not thrilled that works being done by an authorized shop in the first place but theres not much I can do at tis point. I can only hope they fix it properly and don't introduce any more problems. I will update and adjust this rating as the service is done but though I find New Leaf responsive by email, their phone support is sadly lacking. Their choice of repair shops is as well. Over all I am not impressed at this point with the warranty service or the choice of repair services.

I rarely buy the extended warranty because they never cover what would really happen to it in my clumsy hands. This policy covers all the spills and drops and anything I'd do to my poor sweet camera. I'll be going to Costa Rica for 14 days next month and i'm glad I have this policy because I'm terrified a sloth will slowly attack me causing me to drop the camera.

It’s nice to know that my expensive purchase is covered for the next 5 years, not that I will go out and see how high It will bounce, but it’s nice to know it is there if I need it and if you are as clumsy as me this is a must purchase to protect your investment!!!

As a hobbyist, I can't always afford everything I want. When I do buy something nice, I am always worried that if something happened to it, I would be out of luck. Now that I have the service contract, I don't feel reluctant to take my camera out more often. I don't plan on dropping my camera, but the confidence of having protection for 5 years will make me a more enthusiastic hobbyist.

I purchased this 5 year warranty at the same time I purchased my (Refurbished) D7500. The cost was very reasonable through Adorama. This gives me comfort and less worry about my decision to purchased the refurbished D7500. This warranty coverage is actually better than that furnished with a "New" camera.

I just purchased my first warranty through Adorama / NewLeaf. I hope that I never have to use it, but if I do, I know i will be in good hands. The customer service I have received so far has been extremely good. I had some questions that I needed answers to before deciding to purchase the warranty and I was really impressed by both your internet chat and phone assistance. I have purchased similar warranties from other companies, but your offer was much better than any other I could find from those companies with whom I have done business in the past.

I had an issue with my prior camera. New Leaf was able to work out a repair depot after the first one didn’t work. I was able to be paid full price. I was satisfied.

Since I use my camera outdoors while walking, hiking and day tripping, the potential for damage is there. I feel more confident, but no less cautious when taking my camera on all my "expeditions" with the added protection.
