A Steal of a Deal
This has all the features I needed at a very nice price. The alarm beeper is loud enough to wake an old man sleeping with the covers over his head. The digital tuning and presets are great. Reception is good. Sound is a little tinny, which I expected given the tiny speakers. I can go to sleep to music, and wake to the same station, then get hit by the alarm a few minutes later.
I am just a little concerned about quality of the hardware. The AC cord hangs at an odd angle out the back, and I had to strap it down with some electrical tape, Without the tape, it blanks on and off with any sudden movement. Other people may have more serious issues -- it seems to be hand soldered by inexperienced personnel.
But even at that, this NAXA clock radio is a good price/performance gamble.
