OtterBox Commuter TL Series Case for iPhone 3G/3GS, Pink

This was my first Otterbox case and it was suggested to me after I dropped my phone on a tile floor and the glass cover on the screen shattered...regardless of the fact I had a different case on it! While I understand this is a feature of this brand/model and is probably what makes it so protective, I'm not crazy about the hard plastic strip that goes up the back of it. I think it looks kind of weird and detracts from the stylishness of the case. Also I think the cut out part where the Apple shows through is tacky. I'm not interested in advertising that I have an iPhone. Maybe others are, though. All in all, it has protected my phone as it should, although I haven't dropped it on the tile and don't plan on testing it out in this way! The rubber grips are nice because I've found that other cases can be slippery on the sides. Another thing I'm not crazy about is the plug that goes into the charging port. Again, I understand this is an extra protective feature but plugging it in can get kind of cumbersome.
