I use it on my large lens. Secure the loop on the lens and secure the other loop on me ball head. It gives me a little security when carrying it on my tripod. Easy to disconnect

I've used an Op/Tech strap for years, but just discovered this little gem while shopping for a new strap. The extra long strap permits you to carry the camera across your body, which is not only more comfortable, but safer then from your shoulder where it could slide off. It's adjustable, so it can be shortened if you wish to carry the camera in front of you around your neck. My only wish is that Op/Tech would offer this strap extension as part of a neck strap package, vs. as an accessory.

Previously I purchased Op/Tech's 3/8" XL System Connector extension to set-up a Cross-body Sling strap where my Canon full frame body & 70-200mm lens would hang across my body and just below my waist. I am very pleased with this set-up. I noticed the Op/Tech's XL Pro Loop System Connectors and decided to try these as well since the webbing is wider than the 3/8" XL connectors. My only concern was the fully extended length spec appeared just a tad short. Upon receipt of this item, I quickly switched out System Connectors and was very pleased with the end result - the fully extended length of the XL Pro Loop System Connector places my camera/lens set-up exactly where I need it for comfort & security. I moved the 3/8" XL System Connector to my Canon G12. And that ended up as a perfect set-up, too. Please be aware, I already have the OP/Tech Pro Classic Strap shoulder pads - the System connectors do not come with the strap pad. At the end of the day, I am extremely pleased with the final outcome of this purchase. Since this option uses the strap lugs for my cross-body sling strap configuration, I am confident the structural integrity of my camera bodies will not be compromised. To sum, Op/Tech provides excellent product options to suit one's needs and requirements @ fair pricing. And Adorama continues to be my "go to" retailer because of their great service and fair pricing.

I purchased these to replace the standard straps on the Op/Tech Classic Strap. First of all these give you much more length so you can wear the camera across the chest which is much more comfortable than around the neck, for me. It has quick release for all the reasons one may require a quick release but for myself it comes in handy to remove the padded portion of the strap for better storage in your camera bag. It is highly adjustable in length if you want to wear around the neck or across the chest or anywhere in between it works great. When placed on a tripod the straps just fall nicely without getting in the way or being stiff and hard to work with. The first thing I do when I add a new camera to my collection is purchase the Op/Tech Classic Strap and this extra long loop system, remove the straps that come with the Op/Tech Classic Strap extensions and put the padded portion on this loop system. The other obvious reasons for this loop system is very easy assembly to the camera, very strong and sturdy usage and of course the comfort.

I found the Op/Tech Pro Loop XL product on the Op/Tech website however Adorama as usual is one of my favorite one stop shops for all things photography related, especially accessories. Op/Tech gives a link to Adorama right on their site which to me is more or less recommending/endorsing what I already know, Adorama is one of the best "go to" places on the net for photography needs. I stumbled onto the Op/Tech Straps when I bought my Canon SX40 HS in October while looking for something more comfortable and more flexible than the strap that came with the camera. Initially I purchased the Op/Tech Classic Strap and while it was slightly more comfortable it was not flexible. I prefer the loop connections over the, what I call, standard threaded connection. I also do not like to wear the camera around my neck. When wearing for any length of time over the shoulder is much more comfortable and when you are comfortable you will be more relaxed and the more relaxed you are the better the photo will be. The length is perfect no matter how one prefers to wear the placement of the camera. I am 5'4" and wearing over the shoulder it hangs just below my hips. On rare ocassions for protection of my equipment I do wear it around my neck and making the adjustment is very easy, quick and smooth. I use it with the Op/Tech Classic Strap and with the quick release it is a major time savor. I do not miss shots due to time wasted getting the camera in position to shoot. With the loop connection it moves much more freely. So wearing it across my chest with all that length and position I feel like I am in the wild wild west and the quickest draw in town. I honestly can not put into words just how much difference this product can make in how you shoot and the freedom it allows not to mention the comfort. As I stated I do use it with the Op/Tech Classic Strap Blue on my Canon SX40 HS and the Op/Tech Classic Strap Red with my Nikon D5200. If you like/need/want flexibilty, comfort, durability, and ease of use then this is a must have.

I used this to lengthen my Op/Tech Pro Loop Strap because I'm a tall person. It's a bummer that the Pro Loop Strap wouldn't adjust another couple of inches longer - requiring that I purchase this strap extension. In my opinion this should be an option but the Op/Tech Pro Loop Strap should be longer to begin with.

Great product. Allows for greater flexibility than the normal pro loop connectors. It allows me to have my camera over my shoulder and still can be adjusted small when needed. Very well constructed.

Got this extension so I can wear the op-tech strap across the chest instead of around the neck. The length is long enough to bring up to eye level and stored on the side near waist instead of chest area.

The Op/Tech Extra Long Pro Loop System Connector uses 1/4" tubular nylon webbing which fits easily on cameras with tight connection areas. It is fully adjustable. The straps can be lengthened to be worn across the chest or shortened to be worn at chest level. Another feature of the System Connector is the small carrying handle created when the quick disconnects of the System Connector are latched together.
