I use these to "hang" the camera on my backpack strap on my chess. Works great in freeing up my hands and have access to the camera quickly.

By adding the Op/Tech neck strap to my camera, the other Op/Tech straps and fittings make carrying the camera on a hike or wherever easier and safer. This particular fitting allows me to remove the neck strap from the camera. Then using these connectors, which easily attach to the connectors still on the camera, I attach the camera to the shoulder straps of whatever back pack or camera bag that I am using. Because everything is adjustable, the camera hangs on my chest, in a position that makes it ready to shoot when I am, keeping whatever lens I am using attached to the camera.

I bought these after watching a podcast of a group trecking to Everest Base Camp. I've used them hiking a couple times now. They are much more comfortable than a neck strap and the camera does not swing like with a neck strap. I also bought a wrist strap that snaps in to the same quick release on the camera. Very handy and a great deal.

This is one of the best purchase I made. When I'm carrying my gear in my backpack I just clip the camera straps into the clips, and all the weight is off my neck. No more stiff neck at the end of the day.
