I used it riding my bike and it worked well. Held my Canon D50 close to my body.

This is a good item for the backpacking photo enthusiast. It keeps the camera form wagging back and forth when you are ascending a steep trail or positioning yourself on an awkward cliff for that "perfect composition" shot, but you need both hands. Light, simple, good addition to my camera travel.

I use this when hiking. My camera is ready to use quickly and does not swing around. Leaves my hands free until I want to use the camera. Also evens out the weight of what I'm carrying by having some weight on the front of me while a pack is on my back. A heavy long lens on my SLR does not work as well with this strap as a moderate zoom as the long lens is quite heavy. This strap also works well with a smaller point and shoot type camera as long as that camera has a neck strap.

Even though it looks nutty, this is a great device to support a SLR. I have used it with a variety of lens on my D700 when hiking. The support helps to remove the weight from my neck. With all its support the camera is readily available. The only problem I have had is that it is easy to loose in dark storage compartments.

I use when riding my bike as it keeps your camera next to your body and I will like it on trips as my D200 is heavy and it holds it snuggly against your body not flapping around.

Now you don't have to leave your camera behind when bicycling, skiing or hiking. Moving quickly through crowds, brush or even tackling a rough hiking trail can be done without fear of damaging expensive cameras. Your hands are free while the neoprene STABILIZER STRAP holds the camera close to your body. You have quick and easy access to the camera by merely stretching the neoprene STABILIZER STRAP over the camera lens for quick removal. It's not necessary to use the quick disconnect to access the camera. There's no need for a complicated harness as the STABILIZER STRAP can be quickly added to any strap and removed when the added stability is not necessary. The STABILIZER STRAP is fully adjustable from 19 to 55 inches and can be easily customized by merely cutting the webbing to the desired length. The quick disconnect makes the strap easy to attach and remove. Ideal for the active photographer!
