Questions & Answers

KIT G : Does this strap connect to the camera at only one point? And is it one of the strap rings or the tripod screw?KATHLYN T : It uses both of the regular strap connection points on your camera. I don't know why the photo just shows one connection to the strap, but mine is two. I love this camera strap, it doesn't put pressure on your neck and still keeps your camera accessible.
Shopper : Is this for a BLACK Strap sling? One reviewer mentioned the one they got was Camo in color which I do not want. Thanks!GARY I : The upper padded section is camo, just as the picture shows.STEVEN R : I thought Iwas ordering black, but got "camo". The strap works well, so far as holding the camera comfortably, and allowing me to use both hands to do something else (move a light stand, or set up a tripod, etc). Because of the way it attachs, I don't have to take off the tripod plate. However, when bringing the camera up to eye level, sometimes the straps can interfere with the viewfinder (I have a Nikon, but not with "live view"). If I am carrying a tripod, I can bring the camera up, attach to the tripod, then quickly detach the strap from the camera and be good to go. I think it works best for outdoor "walking around", but if I were a professional I think the Camo might not look so professional.MARK W : Adorama has the black version at the link below. <a href="http://www.adorama.com/OTUSSBK.html" target="_blank">http://www.adorama.com/OTUSSBK.html</a>SONNY M : I also have the cameo version. However, this was my choice. Item also comes on black. On the web site each color is listed separately so you have to scroll through the listings to find all options. Would be nice if Adorama showed the item with all color choices in one listing
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?LEAH R : Love this nature strapSONNY M : Liked function and much lower cost than better known version from another company

OP/TECH Utility Strap Sling

Comfortable and really holds the weight well. Easily access the camera due to using just one of the two anchor points as per the manual. You can use two if you prefer but I have not tried that configuration.

So much better

This strap not only makes my camera feel lighter, it makes it so much easier to bring up to use. Just a better idea. And the price point was right, too.

Best camera strap

Great camera strap for the price. Could not be more pleased. At first I was a little bit unsure but now I love it

So much better than a neck strap!

Ergonomics are far superior to using a neck-strap, especially with a heavy camera and lens. Ability to quick-connect different cameras and remove easily when on the tripod are great features.

A strap that works

I have tried many straps over the years, but this is the one that is the best. I hunt with my camera, and when hiking to and from, have my 7D with 100-400 hanging on my side, and a pack on my back. This is the best set up around.

Takes strain off my neck

I bought this to relieve strain on my neck when shooting with a D300 and an 80-200. I got a set of the 10 inch loop connectors and think they will work better for me than the short ones included with the strap. I will try both sets, but the long ones allow me to adjust the main strap so the camera grip is at my finger tips when down and the sliders only move up the strap slightly when I go to shoot. I also have less strap interference in portrait orientation than with the regular strap. I can also remove the sling-strap and convert to a regular strap if I want to.

OK but...

Please mention the color in the sales pitch. I would have chosen another color.

Op/Tech sling is great!

This sling plus other parts from Op/Tech allow one to have both a sling strap and conventional strap for less than other companies are charging for the sling strap alone. I did get the BlackRapid R3 tripod attachment point, but even then spent less combined than just buying a BR sling.

Perfect!

Had a difficult time attaching to my camera, the eylets on my camera were too small for the cord on the strap.
