This reflector is just right for a small space when I need a reflector. It is small and light, a little in the flimsy side - but that isn't really a problem - I don't need it to be especially sturdy. One thing that is a slight problem is the "feature" that allows you to rotate the reflector around the bracket once it is mounted. It is constructed in such a way that there is no way to grip and twist the mounting ring to remove and insert the reflector into a speed-ring bracket. It is difficult to it snap securely into place, and even harder to remove. Enough of a problem that I might not purchase again, or at least would purchase with the intention of mounting it once into a bracket or speed-ring and leaving it there (which is what I ended up doing).

This does exactly what I need it to do in my tiny little studio space. I'm converting over to using speedlights from studio strobes for the space savings, and this throws a nice oblong wash of light against my backdrop. As expected, the closer it gets to the backdrop the more harsh the center hotspot, but that is not due to any problem with this guy. The only problem I've had it that mounting is a bit tricky. The reflector rotates pretty freely, and there is no where I can find to hold on other than the reflector its self, so twisting this into place is a bit awkward. It either goes on and fits nice and tight and then is really tricky to get loose, or it goes on loose., and rattles around. Not a deal breaker for me, but something you might want to know before you purchase it.

Control the light & elimimate unwanted spill with the background reflector. It will focus the light on the background where it is needed and prevent light spill on the subject. It can also be used as a wedding veil light without "backlighting" the Bride. This one reflector can solve hundreds of lighting problems in Portraits, Indoor Architecture and Still Life Photography.
