About Interfit Photographic

The new XS Type bracket kits allows you to connect your Hotshoe flashgun to almost any XS type fitting light shaping tools such as softboxes, beauty dishes, snoots, barndoor sets and spill kill reflectors etc.

One of the main benefits of the STROBIES XS is its rotating hotshot mount, which allows your iTTL or eTTL port to be seen on the same side as your camera and flash triggering system (Nikon SU800 / Canon ST-E2).

This allows for a greater range of the infrared triggering system with the above units or main flashgun as it nolonger has to rely on walls or other objects to bounce the infrared signal back to the unit.

The STROBIES XS bracket also features an additional hotshoe for mounting a radioreceiver for full manual control of your lighting system or a second flash unit should you use the bracket as an umbrella holder via the light stand mount whichalso has the facility to tilt backwards and forwards for perfect positioning.

Holds speedlight

By

The unit is put together well. It is large and not easily packed. While it is large there is little room for mounting the speed light. I've got a 580 EX II and when mounted in this holder it nearly extends beyond the reflector which in my opinion renders the reflector pretty much useless. To much light loss. The holder doesn't work with a Vivitar 285. Additionally the speed light controls aren't easily accessed if mounted horizontally. I had intended to use this with two speedlights. You will notice the second mount is on top of the unit. This makes the two flash heads very far apart with the second head being very far from the center of the umbrella. I ended up making my own holder out of some flat bar that cost me about [$] to make several two light holders. It is advertised to be used with a 16x16 softbox with an S mounting bracket and I haven't been able to find one that mounts to this bracket.I've read a review of the grids that apparently don't fit into the reflector. Unless there are more accessories to be fitted to this product, spend your money on something else.
