Ordered for a variety of shots I needed to do that were being hindered by freezing temps outside. This created an even color background that was easy to mask out and layer in an outdoor shot . Also have used for portraits and did great! Folding is tricky until you get the hang of it, directions or a link to some online demos would be helpful.

First off, this is the first collapsible background I've used. That being said, I'm not the happiest with it as a background. It does not hold a flat shape like collapsible reflectors. This frustrates me. The case is comes in is very flimsy and cheap. I'm constantly fear that the collapsible reflector will get damaged in transit. It is not as durable as a Lastolite case. I believe the optimal function for this item is as a quick and dirty background or reflector. However, in both instances I prefer the Black side as the White side gives off a bluish cast. Whenever I throw light on the White side I have to account offset this blue with 1/4 CTO. Be warned. I've used this most as a reflector in both portrait work and film work. The good thing about this item is that it is cheaper and that it compacts. The Black side makes a great background. And the White side makes a decent reflector/bounce. BOTTOM LINE: If you want a flat background, investigate Lastolite (I can only guess that their product is better). If you don't care about a flat background or a bluish hue on the White side, then I recommend this to you.
