Each muslin background is made from high quality materials with a deep sewn hem, to allow it to easily hang from a background support system. A special non-reflective surface is added which is then sprayed and heat treated for consistency. Each background is supplied with a zip-up carry bag for easy storage.

Wanted to use this as a photo backdrop that would be lighter and more portable than a roll of paper. It's too bad, because the concept of a fabric background seemed like such a good idea. The one I got has a sewn seam along its entire length. There were also two defects in excess of 12 inches long in it that appear in every photo and need to be cloned out in post! It is full of fold lines and wrinkles and needs to be steam ironed every time it is opened up. I guess I sort of expected that. Maybe there is a trick I'm not aware of to evenly tension these things so they stand flat. I'll have to do some research on it. This thing does not hang flat on the background stand no matter how many clothespins, clamps, and pieces of duct tape I use. Using a backdrop light exaggerates the unevenness. Photos have weird bright spots and shadows across the background (you guessed it: requires lots of blurring, healing and cloning out in post). In photos, it's wavy surface looks like someone tried to save money and make a curtain from a bed sheet. If you have pets in your house, don't get this; it's a fur magnet. You can wipe and vacuum it, but the pet fur just will not completely come out. I'm going to try using some spray Static Guard. If you blow air on your model's hair to give more life, or even just have a ceiling fan, forget using this thing (can you say kite?). This thing gets such an electrostatic charge that my model's hair stands up and points at it like a compass pointing north. I intend to buy a dehumidifier in hopes of reducing this effect. Unless I learn some new tricks to make this work better and hide its defects, I'll be sure to leave this home when going on location.
