About Interfit Photographic

5 in One Reflector Kit... This versatile 107cm (42") reflector set offers a choice of 5 surfaces. The spring frame is covered with white translucent material that can be used to diffuse both studio light and direct sunlight.

A reversible cover offers a choice of white, silver or gold reflective surfaces, plus a black surface for use when there is a need to increase contrast in a picture by cutting down the amount of light that is reflected into the shadows.

Reflector Bracket... This is a specially designed arm and bracket that can be used to hold a collapsible reflector or background panel at any desired angle.

Great product!

We do all our photography on location, many times outside. This has been a lifesaver for softening the light. 42" works best for 2 to 4 people squished together (depending on the angle of the light). Having the retractable arm allows you to achieve a better angle while keeping out of the shot. If it's windy, keep it parallel to the wind, or go ahead and fold it up, because it will want to act as a sail.

Except plastic tightening mechanics...

The reflector is a great value, and the bracket holds the reflector well. The tightening mechanism on the bracket, however, uses a lot of plastic on high-stress parts. To hold the reflector out horizontally, the bracket must be quite tight. The second time I used it I was surprised how easily the plastic disintegrated while getting it 'not quite tight enough' to hold. Now I need to carry a plumbers' wrench to tighten/loosen the knob on the bracket.

The 42" 5-in-1 Interfit reflector is a fabulous product, wonderful for giving your photographs that extra touch of professionalism. Easy to take out and easy to fold up. The bracket is sturdy and a nice bonus. An overall good value for the money.

good product for the price

I think this is good for the price. Critically I'd say it's not the best reflector. Although the bracket extends I have a really hard time using it on a larger reflector I have due to the clamps not opening up far enough (my other reflector has a thicker rim/ ring around it). The stand definitely will need a sandback or something heavy to keep it from tipping once you have reflectors on it and extended.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Can this reflector boom be used to hold a flash?
BEVERLY B  I would not recommend it. Your flash is a key piece of equipment that should be trusted to only a quality light stand. The reflector boom is designed only for the reflector. Get a c stand for your light, you can always use it for your reflector and trust it won't go crashing to the ground
