Shopper : I don't know what you mean by flex mount? Doesn't this fit on top of my canon flash?JAMES G : Yes it fits on the top of your Canon flash. I have the 580 EX. To use this attachment, mount your flash as normal. Point it straight up as if preparing to use as a bounce flash. The Flex Mount slides over the strobe end of the flash. then the globe or other attachment (I also purchased the beauty dish) simply attaches to the flex mount via the integral clips. The rig with the globe is great for portraits because it sits high above the lens and thus pushes shadows well down behind your subject.. I like having two with an off-camera second flash for group shots. I'd recommend it for tripod use as it adds a lot of bulk and makes your whole rig quite tall.ALEX T : Hi there, yes it is a little tight and I think it is tight to keep the weight in and to avoid fall off of the product. The way to insert it is by starting from one corner and then the opposite corner and so on. Once you get used to it it is not bad.

A beautiful light system

After reading many reviews I decided to give this thing a try. I was plesantly surprised how well it works, great for large rooms and group shots. It looks heavy but it's really not. I use flash diffusers all the time with great success this globe diffuser is a great asset to my equipment. As for as transporting the globe it's no diffrent than any other bulky piece of equipment. If it works and I think that's what you want! then you will find a way to get it where you need it to be it only weighs a few ounces. Don't miss out on this great tool that will help you improve you photos because of a few misleading reviews. IT Works !!!

This Globe difuser is a part of the Portrait kit STR100. The globe difuser offers a soft uniform light source and is ideal for large group shots for mobile, wedding and portrait photographers Using the globe difuser in iTTL or eTTL flash mode generally does not need any adjustment to your exposure systems.

When using the Globe behind a model you could add a colour gel to the back of the globe This will then provide a hair light and a colour wash to your background, this enables you to be more economical with your lighting system.

When purchasing this item please note that a required Flex Mount is not included.
