I bought this and then had to get the flex mount for my flash unit... I tried it out and it works very nice...

Very difficult to get on and off, the rods broken easily, (mines are all broken)more, i don´t know where i can get a lot of rods to replace the broken ones. I´ve bought 2 Flex Mounts one for the NIKON SB900, and the other for the SB900 and SB600, well ...this Mount(the little one) is unable to keep fixed on the flash and falls down constantly. Bad election.

You have to be on top of the subject to get enough light. So, the output is weak. The fit is so tight it is hard to get on and off. The overall problem is the results. In a portrait situation it just doesn't benefit you to use this product. Seems like a great idea but it doen't work well. I wish I had returned the item.

For someone who owns the complete Strobies kit, a second sortbox to go with the on in the kit is a must. And even with only one, the general advantage of softened light over harsh light makes this little item a great deal for the price. Be aware, however, that you will need an additional fflash adapter, but this isn't any sort of problem, since the bases are really inexpensive too.

Wanted this to work, but it is poorly made. The 4 corner poles do not stretch the box out enough, so the top and sides slope in. The supplied diffuser fits over the outside, but even with the sloped cut to it, the slightest breeze, or even pointing the lightbox down, will cause the diffuser to fall off. Needs velcro or staples to keep it together. The weakest link in the Strobies kit by far.

Works well for portraits on camera and better off when used with multiple lights.

This softbox is a part of the Portrait kit STR100. The softbox will give a soft uniform light source and is ideal when combined with a reflector or other Strobies products to add a fill light. Using the softbox in iTTL or eTTL flash mode requires no adjustment to your exposure systems. The softbox is easy to put together by following simple instructions.
Flex Mount Softbox Mounting holes:
On each edge of the Flex mount you will see 4 holes for mounting a Strobies softbox,(as shown with the rods inserted). It is best to erect the softbox without the flex mount being on the flashgun to prevent any damage to the Flash gun or the material of the softbox.
When purchasing this item please note that a Flex Mount is not included.
