I bought this to replace a terrible Toshiba DVD player I had. I don't know why I ever got rid of my old Panasonic DVD player for that one; it worked for years with never a problem. So far this Panasonic model has been awesome and makes my DVDs look great. Won't be letting this Panasonic go!

I have a constant battle with the DVD player not playing in color. It's cheap with only on hookup available in the back of the machine, not the standard red, blue and green plug connectors.

This player is good for the money, the remote is small and hard to use in the dark, the picture is very good, but not as good as some of my higher end players, I also have some problems keeping the HDMI in the player and have to reattach it frequently, but for the money it is a pretty solid DVD player, I like that it can easily be made region free and that it is not connected to the internet so you don't have to deal with software updates and all that nonsense.

I love mine. It does exactly what it's meant to do without being complicated, and is a quality product by a quality name brand.

Quality product with a great picture. Compact size, easy to set up and operate. Like that it supports a HDMI cable, has a USB port in the front and a remote. Very pleased. I can always depend on Panasonic products.

I've only used this one time for a class I put on, but it worked great. Has both the RCA and HDMI out ports that I wanted. I'm sure I could have saved $10-15 on a cheaper make, but I have been very happy with all my Panasonic purchases over the last 12 years.

Great value for compact, highly functional dvd player. Nice features, such as remote, usb port and resume play. Plays dvd's my others would not play. No hassle with only 3 controls on player and no led display to go out. Was very easy to connect, simple to use.

Panasonic consistently makes products my wife doesn't want to toss into the yard (death knell). They do exactly what they're supposed to do... precisely, quietly, every time. The price was great, delivery was sooner than expected and installation could have been handled by my 8 y.o. granddaughter.

I have owned a Panasonic DMR-EZ48VP-K 1080p Upconverting VHS DVD Recorder with Built In Tuner for 4 years with complete satisfaction. I needed a backup DVD player for my over 700 DVDs so I do not have to use the DVD recorder just to playback a DVD. The model DVD-S700 does what I want and after 10 days of playing an average of 8-10 hrs a day, is the perfect solution for me. Since I have 3 other Panasonic products, I only considered one from the company I trust. In fact, I ordered a second one a few days ago!

Easy to use. No learning curve required to master it. Compact. It is the latest Panasonic product I have in my home. I just wish that Panasonic were not cutting back on the types & variety of products they offer.

This DVD player is great. Works perfectly and the picture is excellent! I like it because of it's up-scaling abilities. It also has and optical audio out making it fantastic for home theater. I now own 2 of these.

The control buttons on the front are designated with black lettering on black paint. Impossible to read even in best light. Ridiculous, terrible graphic art.

The control buttons on the body of the unit are very small and difficult to identify because the buttons, the lettering and the unit are all in black. The remote is a bit better, but still on the small size.

Easy to use, makes the DVD look amazing. Purchasing this makes getting Blu-Ray seem like a waste. Simple controls, no issues with firmware, one of my best purchases in the last two years for value and use.

I searched for a while for a good DVD player for my son and am glad I purchased the Panasonic. It does everything I wanted it to do and comes with the right features and specs that made it a very good fit for what he needed. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing a good basic player.

The Panasonic S700 Progressive Scan DVD Player is a 1080p Up-Conversion which raises image quality by correcting, in pixel units, the brightness signals of images in recorded content, DVD movies and other media. This high-speed, high-precision circuit converts DVD video signals using 4-times oversampling for progressive scan playback and 8- times oversampling for interlace scan playback. The high-density conversion process results in clear, beautiful pictures with high resolution and high S/N ratio.
CD Ripping
Able to archive your favorite music CD into USB memory. You will be able to enjoy your music by PC, portable audio player or other devices.
Power Resume
It can resume DVD from where it's stopped even after a power failure. There may be about a 10s difference from the actual point where the power was cut off. The power resume feature automatically creates and stores the chapter mark on certain intervals during playback of the contents in order to playback from the latest chapter marked when resumed from power supply problems.
