Great LCD - Picture Rivals Plasmas
I have owned three plasma displays in the past, and was hesitant to purchase an LCD - afraid that the picture would not be as sharp, and contrast not as good. This set is terrific though, and rivals pretty much any plasma I've seen. The picture is laser sharp, the viewing angles are excellent, and the contrast is outstanding. The Panasonic TC-37LZ800 37" Class Widescreen VIERA LCD HDTV features stunning picture quality, outstanding service and satisfaction and effortless connectivity. The wide 178 viewing angle of the IPS Alpha Panel endures clear, bright images when viewed from most anywhere in the room. Contrast is enhanced between light and dark areas. The Clear Panel brings the unified VIERA design to LCD HDTV's.
Even in a brightly lit room, deep black images appear rich and lifelike. Motion Focus Technology detects moving pictures with text and optimizes the backlight for improving the resolution. This makes scrolling titles appear sharper and clearer, so they're easier to read. Improved Scene Controller (I.S.C.) combines with improved panel contrast to achieve a high, 10,000:1 contrast ratio; blacks are deepened by an expanded backlight tuning area.
