Shopper : I had to return a smaller Samsung Plasma TV because the screen was like a mirror and we saw more of our lamps etc than the picture. Before I invest in this highly recommended (Consumer Reports)plasma model I wouldlike to know if anyone has had reflction problems?NICK E : By far the best TV purchase I've made. No mirroring or reflection issues at all. I did a lot of research before purchasing. TV arrived as expected.DAVID G : I have not had this problem with my VT. It is in a room with much sunlight in the afternoon and my old TV had this issue. Which is why I went with the VT with it upgraded filters and brighter screen. My old TV had reflection issues. I am sure under the right conditions any TV will show reflections but so far so good on the VT. Fantastic picture and options. Can't wait until it is burned in and I can play with all the setting to best tune the unit. You need to burn in a plasma for 100 hours on below 50 on all the video setting to preclude the dreaded ghosting issues of plasmas.KEVIN A : Lets start out by saying this is an amazing tv, and the picture just gets better and better. As far as reflections from lamp,it is a glossy surface not a matte one so there could be an issue but to be honest haven't really noticed or been bothered yet. We have hi- hats and floor lamps and a lot of windows in the room and no one has complainedSTEPHEN B : Panasonic Viera Plasmas are the best - We have 4 of them. Shoppers should be aware that they have no reflection issues in locations where subdued to moderate lighting is employed, and where there is no bright or direct sunlight on the screen. Having bright overhead lighting is another no-no for plasma viewing. The ideal viewing room would meet these criteria, kind of like a media room, great room with subdued lighting, etc. If one desires a large flat screen to view in high light and reflection areas, stick with a highly rated LED set, not plasma. But remember that Panasonic Plasma delivers the absolute best HD picture quality, the blackest blacks, etc. SteveRYAN L : All glossy screen TVs will have reflections. This goes for LCD or plasma. If you cannot move the light sources away from directly in front of the television and/or angle the set appropriately then you should look for a matte screen television. It is true that this set has anti-glare filters. However, reflections from light sources will always exist.YUAN K : Yes you may have the same issue with reflections as this plasma also has a smooth glass screen. You can compensate by angling your TV downward to reduce reflections but success is highly dependent on your room layout. If reflection is really a problem for you, look for a TV with a slightly textured screen.

Best "Theater" set ever

The image is outstanding! Sound isn't. But, who buys a 65" set without a sound system? I've had smaller Panasonic's with "theater" sound . I have a KEF system which I love dearly. Buy plasma before you have spend the money for a OLED. Forget 4K, unless you sit less than 12" from the screen.

Incredible HDTV

We ordered this TV from Adorama b/c it is the EXACT make and model that Consumer Reports said was very, very good. We've had it installed for about 3 weeks now and I don't know how we lived without HDTV before. The picture is so clear it's almost like looking through a window sometimes. It was very easy to hook-up to our DirecTV Genie system. I also like that we have it hooked up to our WiFi. I've already streamed two TV eps through the built-in Amazon Video app. The TV remote is very user friendly and we only use it when we want to connect to the internet.

Adorama, and especially Morey were excellent,they stood by there price and worked extra hard when the only hiccup was the communication with the delivery.the panasonic is everything the reviews( good ones) have stated.Picture quality is beyond outstanding,great design ,and ease of use all add to the joy of owning this.I would use Morey and Adorama again. it's nice not have a sleazy sales person pushing things down your throught.

.First off the service provided by the salesman was beyond excellent.The only problem was with the communication with the delivery service.When alerted to this Morey went over and above to solve this.Adorama lived up to there pricing while other stores would promice you one price then forget when you would return. There lowest price (said on the at) still did not come close to adoramas printed price.Now on to the Tv simply put amazing.Sports loo amazing movies outstanding. Was going to wait for the ZT but could'nt pass up the price and is the slight better picture worth 1200 extra. Thanks Morey and Adorama!

So Far So Good...

I was pleasantly surprised with the picture quality, particularly brightness and sharpness, of this TV despite it being a plasma. This is my first plasma and I had lowered my expectations given some of the comments about plasmas having inferior sharpness and brightness compared to LED/LCD screens. From what I can see, the brightness and sharpness are on par with most LED/LCD TVs (perhaps not at max settings but plenty for normal viewing). Screen glare is also not an issue and my living room has four big windows. But with this TV, the depth of the blacks and richness of colors are superior to most LEDs/LCDs. All this is out of the box settings. Sound is a bit disappointing but hard to expect much given the thinness of the TV.
