I saw this on sale for $35 vs the $75 v3 clip and figured I might as well get it. It's a little bulky but still works great on the hip or shoulder, clips the camera in securely and releases relatively easily using the release button.

I have two of these - on different bags (one for a camera bag and one on my hiking backpack). The take the strain off your neck, while ensuring your camera is readily available. This has been awesome, whether I'm hiking the mountain trails near my home, or walking the streets of a European hilltop town. The products is clearly very well made and easily adjusted once you figure out how it works. Locking it in place adds an extra layer of security too. I love this so much I've bought a couple for hiker friends.

I have had this for two years now and it has changed my photography. I now take the camera places I never would have dreamed of before. I can take my camera rock climbing and on extreme hikes. It even makes the day-to-day easier. This is a must-pair with the Peak Design everyday sling.

I had the original CapturePro which was good. However, this is markedly improved, easy to use and extremely well built. Highly recommended!!

I've owned this for years and I love using it. I bought a cheaper one afterwards because I wanted to mount my gopro on the other strap, and that one was bulkier and while it got the job done, I would have bought another one of these. The ONLY downside is that it doesn't really work with the Osprey antigravity packs because the straps are too thick, but I wouldn't want longer screws on this set I don't think. It would simply be better to have an alternative set of screws for the thicker straps. It's a great way to have quick and easy access to the camera!

I bought this to modify as I tend to use a mono pod with a 200/600 lens but need to switch out to my 17/35 lens. It is much easier to carry the 17/35 lens on the mono pod vs around my neck or on my hip. I was looking at the V3 but there is no screw mount on the back plate of the V3.

Very happy with this tool. Use it every day. I use arca swiss for everything, so this fits right in. If your camera has a bit of weight, for sure considering getting the Pro Pad. It prevents the camera front pulling down on my belt, especially when I'm using long lenses. I don't worry one bit about whether this thing is going to fall off or fail. Once it's screwed in place, it doesn't go anywhere. I currently switch it between my belt and a backpack. But I'm planning to get a second one to permanently keep on my backpack strap.

This is not meant for any dslr not one with a heavy lens, also I bought it new but when it got to me it had some minor ding marks on it . I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking to do any heavy work or movement. Now I have to pay for returns.

Works as it should. But heavier than anticipated for use on belt. Tried a 5D III and a Fujifilm X-M1 mirrorless camera. On photo backpacks it still feels awkward too. Will most likely be returning.

I travel a lot around the world and the Capture pro gives me quick access to my camera that is on the clip attached to the strap of my backpack which saves my neck from the weight of the camera and zoom lens it also provides security against theft as you can lock the clip so it cannot be removed easily, even by a seasoned thief.

Build quality and function is very good but the PROplate does not attach to all RC2 heads. The RC2 adapter bars attach to the Manfrotto 484 ball head OK but is completely useless for the Manfrotto 804 pan head. It seems that Manfrotto has two types of plate but the specs do not tell you that. The Peak Design site has a list of which will and will not fit. Buyer beware.

I did a little research and watched the videos regarding this product and thought it was an outstanding idea. Unfortunately I did not factor in one important point. Though this might be a good product for a light plastic camera like a Canon Rebel, it is totally unsuitable for a heavy professional camera like my Nikon D810, especially with a heavy lens like the Nikon 24-120mm zoom. With a heavy camera, this device is totally unsuitable for connection to a belt. Though minimally more useful hooked to a backpack strap, I still consider it unsatisfactory for a metal framed professional camera. I wish I had understood this before ordering.

I used this with a light weight super zoom camera on a backpack trip. It was secure and easy to use. I kept my camera on my belt and was able to move it in and out of the clip easily. It was perfect for this trip and I will use it for hiking and other outdoors activities. I also like that I can use the base with my tripod without having to switch things out.

I just took delivery and rigged it up to clip my Pentax K3 on my belt. I am impressed by the well machined metal and the smooth fit and function of all the parts. I look forward to using this on a backpacking trip to Arizona in March. It appears to be a competent, lightweight solution to having a camera secured and ready-to-shoot at the same time.
