About Photoflex

The Photoflex TritonFlash Kit is rated at 300 watt seconds with a guide number of 185 and up to 750 full power flashes on a single charge, the TritonFlash operates in the power range of studio strobes, enabling photographers to shoot large setups in bright sun without the need for AC power. Fast recycling allows bursts of up to 7 shots per second for capturing fast action at weddings, sporting events, or for scientific purposes. The lightweight lithium ion battery pack (22 ounces / 623 grams) is extremely efficient and environmentally safe, representing a significant upgrade from heavier Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) systems.

The TritonFlash also operates on AC power using the battery charger as a power converter. The charger automatically adjusts to AC voltages between 100-240 volts for international use. The system is designed to operate for extended periods of time on AC power without damage to the battery or power pack, making the TritonFlash a smart buy for both studio and location photographers.

Good light quality. Battery failed

from Tennessee  -  Pro Photographer

I was only able to get 30 images out of the battery on my first shoot before it failed. The battery went dead very quickly. I recharged it for the next use hoping it would perform better, but then on my second use smoke started coming out of the power moduel. I contacted the manufactuer and they sent me a new battery and power moduel. It seems to work fine, but only one power port on the new power moduel works. Aside from these issues, the unit works well. The light quality and strength is excellent. My lower ranking is based upon the batter and power moduel issue. Aside from these issues (which is probaby rare) I would buy again.
