I use this clamp with Nikon speed lights for lightweight, low power-demand location portraiture. It uses light box brackets I already own. It saves me from hauling Dynalites/heads/powerpacks/cables, medium weight stands, and extension cords. Combined with light stands and Radio remotes it also eliminate cords

I used this for indoor portrait photo sessions. I also use this for my macro shooting work. It is perfect for the price, you don't need all the extra manfroto parts to make it work. I also used pieces of it for other stands and lights ... Will continue to use and purchase, as my light equipment grows.

This multiclamp is great for those times when additional small strobes are necessary in multi-light situations.

The construction is pretty good, however, I would recommend getting stroboframe brackets or frio cold shoes to replace the original cold shoe. With the original cold shoe, you have to tighten down the lock on the flash and tighten down on the screw to get a tight fit. Stroboframe brackets make it an easy, one step process.

great mount, only complaint is the cold shoe adaptor. the only thing holding the flash (or remote adaptor in my case) in the shoe is a tiny set screw. I purchased 2 of these and one stripped out within the first couple of uses.

This is a pretty standard light stand clamp as you probably know. No surprises, quality is good. No complaints.

Very well priced, I like the product but I haven't had a chance to really get it out in a commercial environment. All my tests have been preliminary, but I don't doubt that it'll work well.

This shoe mount is a very well made product. It attaches securely to a standard light stand top, adjusts easily and tightens down perfectly. I comes with two high quality brass attachments and an aluminum shoe, although that shoe may short fire some flashes and may need to be insulated. I use it with a Nikon SB-600 flash and replace the supplied show with a Nikon sync cord. I also use a 32" umbrella with it and the entire assembly is strong and reliable.

First, this is a great product. It is well built and functions just as it claims to. But what won me over more than anything was there excellent customer service. When I received the Multi-Clamp the little thumb screw that is meant to secure the shoe mount flash to the unit was shorter than is should be. It looked as though the screw was broken off. I contacted Photoflex's customer service through email, and heard back in less than a day. My contact was [...]. She asked if I could take some pictures so that she could get a better idea of what I was talking about. I sent them to her, and she got back to me immediately with a request for the address she needed to send the replacement to. She was quick, courteous, and seemed to care that I had a problem. I really appreciated that. And it was just a little screw! This leads me to believe had my problem been more serious, it would have been dealt with in the same way. Highly recommend this product and this company.

Seems very well made and sturdy. I guess the only complaint I would have is, and this is weird, it smells funny. It has a very strong plastic smell but it goes away after a couple of weeks. I would absolutely order another one.

This item is well made and flexible. I plan to use it to hold Speedlite flash slaves while photographing humingbirds, and some macro applications. Could also accomodate portraiture work indoors, also.

I bought this clamp because I needed a way to attach a Nikon SB800 to a light stand. I also wanted to be able to rotate the flash to a vertical position. This clamp does that. As well as attaching to a screw mount on a light stand, the screw inserts can be removed and it will attach to a rod mount. The only downside to this clamp is hot shot mount is rather generous in size and you have to use the screw on the mount to keep the flash tight. The normal lock on the flash side does not hold the flash tight in this mount. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but this clamp and the Adorama universal swivel holder are indentical.

Nice versatile mount. The shoe mount is metal so I put some electrical tape over the top just to make sure it wouldn't interfere with the hot shoe contacts on the flash. Don't know if it would but decided to play it safe. All connections secure well and it appears to be well built. I have found no issues with it so far.

This clamp is a handy, flexible way to hang portable flash units from 5/8" pins. The shoe is firmly attached to a post that will also fit into a mafer clamp. The shoe has a locking screw to help stabilize the flimsy plastic foot found on a lot of portable flashes.

I use this to connect my Speedlite flash adapter, lightstand and shoot-through umbrella together. It works great and is quite flexible. I'm very happy with this little gadget overall. Have used it for softening flash everywhere from photographing people and pets to museum exhibits and making stock photos. I did have some trouble finding this on the Adorama web site, because I didn't know exactly what these are called. I do have a couple suggestions for improvements: It would have been nice if there was a hook, or some kind of mount to safely hold a wireless flash trigger. I currently use a rubber band to do that, but it is an accident waiting to happen as rubber bands get brittle in cold weather. Maybe velcro would be a better choice. It would also have been nice if there was a small anvil or something at the end of the screw that tightens against the umbrella shaft. The end of the clamping screw does scratch up the umbrella shaft a bit. If that kind of thing bothers you, it should be possible to wrap the umbrella shaft with something to protect it, but that's too much trouble for my $20 umbrella.

This is a solid piece of equipment. It has all of the adjustments I'm looking for to mount my flash on a stand and hold an umbrella. I have found no downsides to the product. I anticipate it will serve my needs for years to come.

I had expected something flimsy for the price, but was pleasantly surprised to find that this thing is built like a tank using real metal! Seems to be very versatile and has done anything I wanted so far. I'll be buying another one soon.

The umbrella multiclamp is awesome it works well with any lightstand. It allows for movement of your flash and umbrella at the same time. Not bulky or anything and just a great product.
