Great Value and Works well

I am surprised at how well these work. For about the price of two more Skyport receivers, I got a trigger and 4 receivers. I have not had a misfire in over 1000 shots. And I like being able to put a speed light (or Skyport) on top of the trigger on the camera.

Too Cool!!!

By

from Modesto, Calif.  -  Photo Enthusiast

Product was exactly what it said it was. Very easy to use. I have a cable cord to take it off the camera but this is the way to do it...so simple. It doesn't have TTL but didn't need it for what I use it for.

Very Reliable - Has design issues

By

from Los Angeles

Used routinely for wedding and events. Very reliable remote triggering. On/Off switch prone to switching on by itself in bag, draining batteries. 2 - transmitters have cracked around hotshoe making them useless in less then a year.

This version simple and easy setup , good price for wireless flash . No high speed synth. If you need for high speed synth flash then go for Phottix Odin

Great product!

I have been a PocketWizard for years and finally switched to Phottix Strato II. No more misfires, smaller and easy to set up. They work great on my camera and off camera flash!!

Excellent Design....

By

from Berkeley, CA  -  Semi-pro Photographer

The Strato II is designed to trigger both remote lights and cameras. The standard pack can focus and trigger two cameras and five flashes, plus Nikon infra-red links, with the press of one button. So, the design deserves five stars. The problem is that the manufacturing quality is very poor, with no quality control or guarntee. My N10 = DC2 shutter cable was DOA. An email to Phottix got me "you can buy another at our on-line store"!! A call to Adorama got me compensation. So, Adorama gets five stars. Phottix gets one! As if a bad cable was not enough, the receiver has a receptical for a 5 volt wall transformer, however, even if you have a 5V transformer with the tiny plug (I do)the receptical doesn't work. It would not be useful in most applications so, it is more an indication of poor quality than a real problem.

This product is great for home studios. I use them to trigger strobes and speed lights. I haven't found anything to complain about.

Great product, great price

By

from Virginia  -  Semi-Professional

Used for wedding reception and worked perfectly. Only had for about two weeks, so I don't know about the longevity of the product, but it did an excellent job! Long battery life, no misfires, beautiful images.

Great Product - Receiver Breaks Easily

By

from Springfield, MO  -  Semi-Professional

I am a wedding photographer and I use the transmitter and 2 receivers. Each receiver is mounted with a speedlite on a stand. The system as not let me down at all! Works from across the room, and from across the parking lot. Great device! The only downside i've experienced is that the shoe mount for the receivers is plastic. Someone tripped over my stand and the shoe mount on the receiver broke.... gotta buy a new one. Wish I could Phottix made it a metal mount like the transmitter.
