The soundbar/setup would be great, however, I have my times where I want good quality sound for: -music -movies -soft background while working or sleeping The bass, simply doesn't seem to be able to properly handle this... it's either VERY strong, great if all your wanting to do is have a loud/strong bass system, then it's great for you, however, if you go very low, you lose base completely, and you need to vary the setups for movies vs. music... every once in a while (and this may be the source causing this), I hear a pop... I really, really wanted to love this system for the price I got it for (<4 Ben's), but it's disappointing in the above areas... love it at times, hate it at others...

Great subwoofer. Rich bass. Sound bar provides clear voice that isn't lost in the background. Movie effects sound real. Bluetooth connection works just fine. Music sounds good too. Plenty loud. Remote learning feature was easy to figure out. Very happy with the system. Adorama got it to me within 3 days of placing the order!

It is powerful with decent sound quality. I bought it couple of weeks ago for 350 and I already getting compliments for its sound quality and appearance. The touch screen is very responsive which makes setup very easy as well You can easily setup any remote with it Awesome unit as a whole

Setup was very easy and quick, everything included that I needed. Sound quality and bass are good. The bluetooth connected easily, but I can't go more than ~20 feet even line of sight before audio starts cutting off. Being able to see current volume level would be nice. I haven't compared to any other speakers so hard to say it's value but didn't get this one on sale for ($) so seems like a decent deal.

Unit works great. If there was one thing I would change is that if there was a feature where you could adjust the highs. Overall for the price, it's a great sound. Sometimes it will loss connection to the sub but JBL will help. Also if you answer some ? When registering your device you will get one more year of warranty

Very impressive sound quality. One of the best sound bars on the market. Took only 15 minutes to set it up. Dialogue is easy to hear and sound clear. Loving the bass on the wireless subwoofer and can be adjusted to your liking. Soundbar quality on action scenes is very immersive and has the surround sound feel to it. Great job by polk overall.

I buy stuffs after reading lots of reviews and research. A Perfect Surround Sound Solution I wish, I can write more pros than cons in my next Polk product. Pros: Premium sound quality and surround sound Stylish design - A neat design Thundering wireless sub-woofer - Your neighbors will definitely complain :p Bluetooth connection - Cool one.. connects upto 8 devices Cons: Being the top line soundbar by Polk and for the price 799.99 tag Lacks anti-diffraction grille and bezel design - All Polk Soundbars have stylish grille design except the 9000/9500 models Lacks volume display - You will have to hear the sound and bring it up/down the volume level Zero HDMI ports - May be Polk believe optical will equally do the job of a HDMI port No Airplay support - Must for Apple fanboys like me. No DLNA / Wifi support - Much needed for wireless connection from the TV & Computers Remote looks so cheap - Thankfully you can sync your TV remote and replace the Polk default remote P.S: I bought this model, knowing the fact I will miss all these cons. But who cares, its a "Polk Audio" Loving it :))

I bought this item and I couldn't be happier, well it was a present my wife paid for. It took longer to unpack (it is super well packed with recyclable materials) than the item than to install. It is really one of the simplest plug-and-play devices I have ever used. The sound quality is amazing with great bass reproduction. The wireless sub is a awesome; no wire, no mess and connects to the SurroundBar without any additional setup. Just plug in the power cable The only disappointment I have is the remote, it feels a little cheap... I have however used my smart phone which already controls my TV, Roku and STB, the leaning feature for the remote control is very easy to setup. I couldn't be happier!

After much research and many listening tests, I decided to purchase the Polk 9500 BT soundbar. The soundbar creates a large sound stage that really enhances the movie experience. The sound is clear, warm, and three dimensional. The soundbar separates dialogue, music, and background noises by casting them across the sound stage. Let's be clear, this isn't going to replace rear speakers. At no time did I hear sound coming from behind me. I tested several competing soundbars at different big box stores and noticed that sound quality was significantly distorted when the volume was turned up. I'm pleased to report that the Polk 9500 BT doesn't lose sound quality at higher volumes like the competing soundbars I tested. I did notice that some of the deeper male voices were being heard from the subwoofer. There is no frequency cross over knob on the subwoofer. Also, there are no HDMI connections. If you're in the market for a soundbar, understand that many tv's don't offer digital sound pass through from an external hdmi connected source. I've solved that problem by connecting the blue ray player directly to the second optical port of the soundbar. The only issue I encountered during setup was pairing my LG Google TV with the soundbar. It was clearly an issue with the TV's remote and after some research I was able to solve the problem. I'm extremely satisfied with the Polk 9500 BT soundbar considering it's price, aesthetics, ease of use, sound quality, and size. It can be quite frustrating browsing the various soundbar options and trying to decide which one is right for your TV setup. If you're in the market for a soundbar than please put the Polk 9500 BT on your options list. I'm very pleased with this product and hope you will be as well!

I used a simple bracket to hang it from the bottom of the TV so it looks like it's part of the TV. Cable box and Apple TV are hidden behind the TV so no wires are visible. Very easy to pair the cable box remote to the sound bar so I only need one remote. Sound is much better than entry level home theater in a box systems I've heard and almost as good as satellite/subwoofer systems offered by better speaker makers. This is a great 21st century solution. I love it.
