The truly real good tuff suitcase

I bought a lot of suitcases, but they never last. I travel so much that they get broken within a few trips. I decided to buy a Pelican case without foam and it became my best idea ever. Ever if the price may stop some, think that you will never ever have to buy another suitcase in your life, ever. They are that good. Obviously if you do not mind the look...

Excellent Carry On

By

from Pittsburgh, PA  -  Casual User

I searched several airline websites before purchasing this If weight is not an issue for you, and you could easily lift this thing up into an overhead bin, then you've probably found the perfect carry on. This case fits in the maximum carryon size approved by the FAA (22" x 14" x 9") for major airlines like United, American, Delta, US Airways. Sure, some airlines allow bigger sizes, even up to 26"x 18" x 12" (JetBlue's airbus A320), but you'd probably want to get a carryon that will be approved in all carriers, right? As of the time of this writing, only a few airlines limit carryon weight - 25 lbs for Hawaiian Airlines, for example. Most airlines don't have weight limits. If you've had Pelican cases before... 'nuff said. Quality is outstanding. I use the insert if a Vanguard Heralder camera bag to hold most of my gear. There's enough leftover space for accessories or personal items. I think I'll get a lid organizer eventually, as I've found these useful in my other Pelican cases. Oh, and don't forget to check the O-ring every now and then. Besides that, this bag needs very little maintenance. You can even put travel stickers just like they did in the old days - can't do that on ballistic nylon carryons!

A Graet Case!

By

from Tempe, AZ  -  Advanced

I use this as a tool kit for work. It carries what I need without being overly large and heavy. TSA cable combination locks on it secure it well.

Highly recommended for electronic gear

By

from Germany  -  Photo Enthusiast

I primarily use this product for storing my most expensive gear. It is used in conjunction with the 1515 padded divider set. It does exactly what it is designed to do. If you have taken the time to invest in thousands worth of equipent, spend the money in a product that will provide proper protection.

Bomber!

By

from Omaha, NE  -  Hobbyist/Enthusiast

Aside from being heavy, this case does everything well. It's more than sturdy, it's more than roomy, and it's more than flexible when it comes to interior organization. I have the padded dividers inside. Great for taking all your gear on vacation. Couldn't be happier!

One tough case...

By

from Columbia, S.C.  -  Professional

As with all things Pelican, the build quality and protection that this case offers can't be beat. However in order to get that protection you have to compromise on a little extra room. My only issue with this case is that, because of its construction it has smaller internal dimensions than other airline carryon sized rollers.

Amazing Case!

By

from Wichita, KS

This is a great case for people who never want to worry about what happens to the items inside because with the padded dividers I have NEVER had any wear on my equipment from transporting it! The other great feature of these is that they are waterproof and can float! Great for when your even near a body of water so you don't even have to worry then! A+

Shopper  how soon can u get it to chicago ?
LEWIS W  Send me an airline ticket and I can fly up next week
Shopper  Does this unit include the customizable foam set?
MADISON E  This is the 1510 without the Foam insert. The one with the foam is available for approx $10 dollars more.
anthony m  What are the overall dementions of this case (1510)? I have 20 weighted placards to put it and need to make they fit. L-shape 4" wide x 5/12" top and base.
ROBERT R B  According to the Pelican website the interior dimenions are 19.75" x 11" x 7.6" I don't fully understand your dimensions, but if the total dimensions of your placards are 4" x 5.5" x 5.5" then you will be fine and could probably even find a smaller case. If *each* placard is 4" x 5.5" x 5.5" and you have 20 of them, then there's no way they would fit (4 x 20 = 80 and 5.5 x 20 = 110). you lay this case flat on the ground and open it, it is 7.6" deep, 11" wide and 19.75" long.
