When the PC socket failed on my D700 I wasn't about to send the camera to Nikon when I had this option. The hot shoe connector on this cable fits so snugly I doubt I will ever trust a PC connector again (ever lose any shots because the PC cable fell off the camera's connector?)

I use this cord to photograph school portraits, studio portraits and studio still shots with my Nikon D300 attached to my studio lights. Very dependable and stay attached better than a PC connection. Recommend to all and to all a good night.

This connects securely but it would be helpful if it could be rotated all 4 ways at the hotshoe end.

HS-3C HH to Hot Shoe 3 Foot Coiled
Household (HH) Two Prong Plug: Fits most professional flashes with dual blade receptacle such as Lumedyne, Norman, Braun, and Dynalite. Also, units with three-prong plug such as Dynalite (3 flat blades), Sunpak and Quantum Radio 4i (2 flat blades with 1 round pin in the center).
Hot Shoe: Fits most cameras with hot shoe feature. Works with hot shoes that have large center contact. Unique design allows shoe to slide in either way. Cord faces side rather than back to front. The only alternative to the PC.
