Wrong Specs

I was co fused as different t sites had different specs on this lightstand. Finally, I called up the Photogenic and the person claimed it closes to 29". Well, it doesn't. It closes down to 32". And that's why I'm giving it two stars. It looks well made, but if I can't get correct info on an item, the item deserves 2 stars.

Quality not worth the purchase price

This stand is described as "heavy duty", but its construction quality is relatively poor compared to its price. Too much plastic is used, especially in the brakes that lock the sections in place (I own other heavy duty stands and the brakes are made from metal). The locking knobs are very low quality and the entire stand is held together with rivets instead of bolts/nuts like other quality stands.

The Photogenic Air Cushioned Heavy Duty Light Stand rises to a maximum height of 8' (2.4 m). It has four sections, which enables it to fold down shorter than a three section stand. It folds to 26" (66 cm). Constructed from heavy gauge aluminum, with a black anodized finish and rubber grip feet. Furnished with a 5/8" adapter with 1/4 x 20 threaded top.
