JOHN H : how long is the cable between battery pack and light head?ANDREW R : Not specified however I believe that the B2 head is equipped with a 6.5' cable.

He said it's not recommended to charge the battery while using it. The battery life is shortened. You can do it if you are stuck but it's not recommended as a regular thing.CHRIS F : Nope. Only ac is the charger.Phillip A. D : When you say "AC option", do you mean will it run on AC? The answer is technically "No", but you can plug the battery charger in to it and use it while it's plugged in.Rob B : Yes, in a way. You can charge the B2 while using it. Even the little carry case for the B2's pack has an opening for the charge cord. I use this all the time when I have access to power and it's convenient. Then I just unplug and move outdoors or to areas where power is not so convenient. The B1 you cannot charge the battery while in use. The B2 you can.Rob B : Yes in a way. Unlike the B1, you can charge while you are shooting if you have access to power. Even the little shoulder case for the pack has a opening to plug the charger in while in use. I use this feature all lthe time as I do a lot of mixed indoor/outdoor kind of stuff in the same session... that being said even lowering the output one stop from maximum gets you 500+ shots / charge so the battery is not a giant issue. My mirrorless cameras run out of juice before my B2's.

Great light and versatile lighting system

This was my first Profoto light as I'm switching out of Paul C Buff. Looking for a system that was portable and highly versatile. You can use power while shooting so its not just battery. Everything is well made and highly intuitive. Highly recommend.. .

Great little battery pack/light. Could be a little better.

A lot to like in such a small lightweight package. Only downside is the lack of a dome when trying to use with Profoto modifiers. The reflectors don't really work as intended, or as well as they do with standard profoto heads. Decent battery life for a pack that weighs roughly 3 lbs. Love the ability to change power settings from the remote trigger.

Fast lighting for weddings and events

Its a fantastic lighting solution when you need to chase people around and setup quick for your shots. Enough power to light most scenes, much quicker recycle times than a speedlight, and off-camera TTL is convenient for moving and shooting on the go

Professional gear for professional photographers!

I know the Profoto B2 is expensive, but the results are just outstanding. The B2 is so easy to transport, setup and use. Charge time is very fast. The light is gorgeous. The B2 is lightweight, but feels so solid. If you want to stand out from the competition, buy the best and practice, practice, practice. IMO, this is the best lighting on the market.

Simply Brilliant

I love the simplicity and how easy it is to use, at 250ws it's great to use anywhere anytime, I just love it. and together with the B1 trust me it is an awesome combination, I'm just super glad i purchased both, my photography went to a whole new level, and i am so glad.

Fantastic Product

Bueatiful light and fast to recycle especially outdoors, so glad I got it, no way for a small flash to keep up and to get 3 small flashes in sync would be a ton of wires and still would not get high speed sync

Amazing powerful light in a relatively small package

This is a fantastic strobe for on location shooting. It's powerful enough to match mid-day sun. Love the package with the extra battery pack which comes useful as you don't get too many shots with just one battery pack.

B2 To-Go Kit
The Profoto B2 To-Go Kit contains almost everything you need to go off-camera. Just add the remote that fits your camera and you are ready to take control and shape light. The kit includes the fast and powerful B2 battery pack and a small and light B2 flash head. Included are also the powerful and interchangeable battery, a charger and a handy carrying bag, allowing you put the B2 on your belt, shoulder or light stand. The gear comes packed in a custom shoulder bag. Grab it, go wherever you want to go and light whatever you want however you want to.
