A great value
I did a lot of research before buying this battery from Adorama. Often, the name brand camera manufacturer battery is the way to go but not necessarily in this case. I have both the name brand Canon LP-E8 and the Power2000 that I use in my Canon T2i. Having shot thousands of stills with auto focus and image stabilization, flash photos, and high-def video I can tell you that the batteries perform equally. I highly recommend this battery as a primary or back-up. Thanks Adorama!

Did not fit in T2i camera
I purchased this battery for my wife with her new T2i. It did not fit in the camera. When I tried to install the battery compartment door would not shut. When I contacted Adorama to return the battery they did not respond.

I use in camera, and for my hobbie.
This battery is a replacement to a battery I bought almost two years ago. Considering the cost of the Canon vs this battery I think this is a good buy. Because I have multiple batteries when this one died and wouldn't recharge it wasn't a big inconvenience.
One of the worst things that can happen to a photographer is, right in the middle of a photo shoot, run out of juice. Everyone needs, at least, one spare while the dead one is charging. There are a lot of battery stores out there. Some of them have replacement batteries but with a different number. I thought that I would go to the place where I bought my Canon T5i. This battery has 1500mAh which means that it will last longer, in use, than the supplied battery that has only 1120mAh. The price was right also. Can't beat Adorama.
I use this as an additional battery in the battery grip for my Canon T2i. The last one I had lasted about 3 years; not as long as the Canon battery, but certainly great as a backup for the price.
I used this over about a year and a half, charging it a few dozen times and rotating with other batteries. The last time I used it, the charger registered a full charge but power being provided to the camera was unstable - causing image flicker, ghosting and other problems. Within about 5 pictures, the power meter went from full to flashing red, then shut off. One of the cells in the battery likely failed.
The fit was like the oem, and it works like oem in a canon t4i with no issues. Only time will tell how long they last compared to oem but at 1/2 the price if they lastn1/2 as long as oem your good.
Good quality replacement
I'm a freelance videographer/photographer and I hate giving bad reviews, but I also hate faulty gear... This off-brand battery is okay for photography as a back up I suppose, but it is a big "NO" for video. Durring important events like Weddings I HATED having to switch to this battery. The original Canon LP-E8 will shoot HD video with a live LCD for around 2 hours, if I have to switch to this battery to let my canon battery charge it seriously won't last for 10 mins... Maybe it's just wearing down, but it's never lasted longer than 30 mins for video. I've got all Canon backups now. If you need a cheap backup for photos this might work for a while, but for video it's a waste of money and a huge risk if your shooting something like a wedding. Don't risk losing some serious footage or even your paycheck... Tyler-
I bought my Canon Rebel T4i from Adorama and ordered aditional batteries (4 Power 2000 LP-E8). Honestly, these batteries are heavy duty and have extra power to last a long time.
Just got the camera and this was an extra in the bundle so I have no comments at this time exept that I was impressed with how quickly it charges. Good storage case as well.
