I got my first set of the Power 2000 batteries in 2008, and just purchased my second set last month (June 2010). These batteries have a long life and plenty of power to get the job done. I use them in a 580ex II and 430ex speedlite as well as around the house from time to time. I can shoot approximately 800-1,000 shots on one set of batteries before there is any sign what so ever that they need to be recharged, and even then they will keep going, just at a slower pace. The only "con" is that they take for ever to charge, approximately 4 hours or so.

These AA's got very hot in the supplied charger. Junked the charger and put them in my own microprocessor controlled charger, much cooler. Took a chance with these at a wedding. Ended up having to pop in my 2600mah generic brands and finish the shoot. Ran them through my tester to find out what's up. One of them had discharged early causing my 430exii to behave oddly. Funny thing is, my 2600mah no name AA's produced higher output on the tester than these 2900mah AA's. My 2500mah Energizer AA's rates even higher than both of these. Go figure.

These keep my speedlight going and are more durable and powerful than anything I used before. I use 2 Nikon SB-800s
