Pro Optic are the filters of choice

By

from Bluffton, SC  -  Semi-pro Photographer

After trying all the various filter brands, I was reading an article on filters and was surprised to read that the author found the Pro Optic brand superior to the many, more expensive and more advertised brands. Since that time, several years ago, I have limited my filter purchases to Pro Optic whenever possible. This filter was purchased for my Sony G 70-400 f/4-5.6. It, like the others in the Pro Optic line, is an extremely consistent, dependable filter.

Pro Optic Pro 77mm Circular Polarizer

I use this to deal with problem lighting, especially for helping create a blue sky. It is a little difficult to get on and off the lens, but not so difficult to warrant the more expensive brands.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
HELEN B  Good quality
Ted Y  How well does it work with a 11-16 tokina lens?
Lee F  Not as well as I was hoping. Even with the UV filter off, there is still some noticeable vignetting. I bought it exactly for this lens and it's not as slim as I wanted. However, I am happy with the optical quality. I just have to crop my images a little.
Ovi H  Is this filter multi-coated?
Ovi H  Thanks for your help, guys!
