It's from Pentax so it works and works very well. Keeps the camera perfectly still for low light pictures or long exposures.

A good addition to camera accessories. Very easy to use and lose, so I keep it in the original box. .Only drawback is there are no instructions for use. Had to call Ricoh and their tecnicians were very helpful

I'd recommend this remote, and I have no regrets having gone with it over its other Pentax competitors. As others have noted it is quite small; I keep mine in the box so I can find it more easily ruffling through my bag. Because of the size and the nature of IR (you really need to be pointing this directly at the camera's IR receiver), you'll want to go with the two separate click option for shutter release and capture in Bulb mode --- it was too difficult to reliably hold down the small button for long.

Due to the fact that the Remote has to be pointed directly at the camera when shooting outdoors in the sun, it has limited applications. Using it indoors is definitely more effective, where the IR beam isn't scattered so much. I would recommend this product to someone who understands well that it is not meant to be used just like a remote shutter release.

Advertised for the IQ, but works just fine with my K10D. Small, light, easy to carry. Make sure you put it somewhere in your camera bag where it won't get lost -- it's that small!

This simple remote is compatible with many Pentax cameras. It makes taking a family photo much easier. However, it's very small and easy to lose. Overall, works as advertised.
