About Pyle PADRI3

The Pyle PADRI3 is actually an analog-to-digital converter. It also functions as a headphone amplifier with volume control. It takes a set of stereo RCA inputs from an analog source, like your turntable and converts those waveforms to a digital signal, which is transferred to your computer via an included USB cable. The included software, Audacity, allows you to record this music and save it as an MP3, WAV, or other file format for archiving. Or, you can transfer this to your iPod or other MP3 player and listen to your favorite vinyl hits with all of the conveniences that modern technology has to offer. No preamp necessary - just plug right in.

Questions about this item:

Edward O  i bought a bows sterio and hooked up my old turntable to it, the sound was faint, a relative told me that i need a pre amp. is this what i need ?
DALE K  I'm sure you mean BOSE Stereo. Yes, your turntable probably has a magnetic pickup, which outputs a very low level signal. You need a pre-amp with RIAA Equalization necessary to match the magnetic signal to a Line Level input on your Bose Stereo. This preamp will do that nicely. I hooked old a great old Onkyo turntable to the line level on my iMac to record 33LPs and convert them to iTunes songs, or 'burn to CD", whichever you want t do. It will also work fine with any PC Line input.
