Review Summary
The SDI2FBR to Optical Transmitter (PVC-970) overcomes the distance limitations of transmitting video over coaxial or Ethernet cable allowing for broadcast quality video to be distributed over long distances while retaining pristine quality. The PVC-970 when coupled with the PVC-975 FBR2SDI Receiver provides a very cost effective method of distributing uncompressed 1080p 60 video streams over long distances.
The HD-SDI2FBR to Fiber Optic Transmitter is a dual channel device supporting two independent and simultaneous video streams supporting data rates from 50 Mb/sec. to 3 Gb/sec. for each video stream making the PVC-970 a very cost effective solution.
The HD-SDI2FBR to Fiber Optic Transmitter (PVC-970) provides two independent SDI inputs on 75 Ohm BNC connectors. The PVC-970 includes dual cable equalizers designed to restore signals received over 75 Ohm co-axial cable and is optimized for performance at 1.485 Gb/sec. and 2.97 Gb/sec. and supports SMPTE 424M, 292M and 259M standards. The PVC-970 also includes dual Multi-Rate digital re-clockers which recover the embedded clock and re-time the incoming video data from a SMPTE 424M, 292M or 259M-C compliant video signal.
The HD-SDI2FBR to Optical Transmitter provides robust conversion from electrical to optical interface allowing the transmission of two simultaneous video streams to be sent over very long distances when coupled with the PVC-975 FBR2Optical to HD-SDI Receiver or other compatible receivers.
The combination of the transmitter and receiver devices creates an end to end solution which allows for efficient high quality movement of video streams over long distances. This is the perfect solution for outdoor sporting events, concerts and large buildings or connecting between buildings on a large campus.
