About Rokinon 24mm F/1.4

The Rokinon 24mm f/1.4 Aspherical Wide Angle Lens for Pentax gives you a wide 84deg. view when used with a full-frame 35mm camera, or 61.8deg. when used with an APS-C camera-excellent for landscapes, cramped interiors, street photography and general photography of all kinds. Astrophotography and more

I originally bought this to do some astrophotography but up here in the Pacific Northwest, stars can get a little shy so I've had little chance to do any since I bought it. I've done some really nice landscape work with this lens though and am quite pleased with it. Much cheaper than the Nikon version and quite close in quality. A worthwhile investment for the financially challenged.

Better than Canon at 25% of the price

This lens has changed the way I shoot. I bought this one and the 14mm both at the same time because of the price. Turns out they are both more solid than Canon, the focus ring is smoother and longer, and the glass is clearer. After two weeks with these lenses, I'm thinking of selling my Canon lenses and replacing them with prime Rokinons. They are that good.
