Standard U.S. Cool White fluorescent bulbs offer a good approximation of daylight except for their distinct green cast. When Cool White fluorescents are encountered in film or video, two color correction techniques are available: either balance all other sources to the fluorescents, or balance the fluorescents to the reference source. This sheet of CC30 Plus Green is used to balance the color of your flash unit to the color of the fluorescent lights. I cut one sheet in half and use gaffer's tape to hold them in place over my Einstein strobes. I used a small section of the 2nd sheet to make some gels for my Canon Speedlites. I already have some of both the ExpoImaging Rogue Gels and the HonlPhoto Color Correction Filter Kits. I used the existing gels to trace around them and then cut out a like-sized piece of thin cardboard to use as a template. I used than template and a Sharpie permanent marker to draw onto this sheet of Rosco Cinegel to allow me to make several more of these gels of this color for my Speedlites. The material seems to stand up to a fairly good amount of bending and handling, and I haven't needed to replace any of it yet (but I've only used it twice so far).
