ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!!!! I bought this product from Adorama and it broke the first time i used it. The cord that plugs into my D7000 was so loose that it fell out of the socket as soon as i let go of it. I plugged it back in, and slowly let go so that it would stay. It stayed for a few seconds then fell out again. This time when it hit the floor the plastic inside the tiny plug crumbled and fell out of the metal casing leaving four exposed wires with NO way of reconnecting the device. Now i lost out on the opportunity for a complete family photo, and i,m stuck with a brand new piece of junk !!! I pondered on sending it back, but i figured why waste more money sending it back hoping for a refund knowing nobody is going to believe how it broke. I will NEVER buy this brand again! Also NO the camera was not on its side with the socket under the camera. it was set straight up for a family portrait so the plug was on the side.

Doesn't work except in MUP mode on D7000

After properly configuring the D7000, this remote works, but only in MUP mode, not in the other remote release modes. The half-press works fine, then one press to raise the mirror and another to take the image.

MATT C  I have the same one paired with a Nikon D7000 and it has worked flawless for me. Once I dialed in the code on each device, turned it on, plugged the cable into the port, and started firing off shots have not turned back.
