Of all places, this [*] card gives me a CF Card Error on my Canon Rebel XT while I'm on the friggin' Great Wall of China! Luckily (and smartly) I'd been backing up my photos each night even if the card wasn't full. This was after 2 days of flawless performance. All photos on the card were lost. When I reformatted, the card ran very slowly--especially when copying to my laptop. I used other cards (SanDisk Extreme II 2GB) for the rest of the trip and had absolutely no problems. That's the problem with a memory card--if it craps out on you once, you just can't trust again in the future...

I have been using Kingston cards for about 2 years now and they have been superb in reliability. I had one issue with a 4gb card freezing up on me so I contacted Kingston and they replaced the card with no problems at all. That is what I call customer service!

The Kingston cards are the fastest largest capacity cards on the market for the cost. You can pay more for cards that are a little faster, but there is no reason to do so. You can also find cheaper cards, but they are not as fast and reliable.

[...] I took the card with me on my trip to spain. I took 200+ pictures at the bull fight and then the next day while I was shooting at a palace, the card failed. I didnt just lose the images, the whole card died. I spent 4 days trying to recover the images with no luck. Needless to say, i am very dissapointed. That is the price I pay for switching from Sandisk. I wouldnt trust Kingston with my pictures ever again. Kingston is great though. They sent me an RMA extremely fast, which I returned and they ended up reimbursing me for the card I bought from [...]. Props to Kingston, but I just dont feel comfortable with thier cards now.

I've been using 3 2GB Elite Pro cards in my 20D for a while now and grabbed one of these last month. I'm not sure it's any faster than the Elite Pro, but having a 4GB card means I can do a short photo session on the one card (I shoot Raw+LF jpeg). I've compared the Elite Pro to a Sandisk Ultra II and they're about even, with maybe 1-2 more shots (out of 35 or so) in LF jpeg mode before the buffer fills completely.

Since I have only had this for a couple weeks, I have only used it a few times, but it has already served me well. As an owner of Kingston CF cards in the past, I expected that this product would be good, and it is. I bought this card because I shoot in RAW format and the files are very large. I just shot a wedding this past weekend and it took several hundred pictures with no problems. It seemed to be plenty fast in my Canon Rebel XT camera, and having the included recovery software (though I haven't had to use it) is nice for peace of mind.

It's a great price & capacity, but the card is so slow it's almost unusable in burst mode on a Canon 5D. Transfer to PC is also VERY slow. Apparently 133x doesn't mean the same thing for Kingston as it does for Sandisk.[...]

The Kingston Technology 4 GB, 133x card is very reasonably priced for a higher speed card. Have used this card for last six shoots and not experienced any issues. Also have down loaded to three different readers with no problems. Last shoot was over 400 shots at high resolution, and photos all down loaded quickly.

I currently have a 4GB Lexar 133x with Write Acceleration. I used that to compare the Kingtson 133x in my Canon 30D snapping pictures at 5 fps.
Using RAW+JPG mode, both CF cards gave me about 8 or 9 exposures before forcing me to pause. RAW-only mode gave me 2 or 3 extra exposures.
I did notice a difference in two areas. 1) in JPG Large I got about 42 exposures on the Lexar card compared to 35 on the Kingston card, and 2) The Lexar card was ready for more exposures after about a 1 second wait compared to 1.5 seconds for the Kingston.
I didn't time the amount of time it took to completely save the data to the CF card (as opposed to just being ready for more exposures), but it did seem like the red 'save' light turned off a little faster with the Lexar card.
Overall, definately a good buy, especially given the price difference. Under normal usage, I doubt I would notice the difference.

I shoot BMX National races for several teams in the Phoenix area. I found this 133x card [...] for a reasonable price and decided to give it a shot. Boy! Was I impressed! I went from shooting three to five frames of a given race to shooting eight and still had time to get shots of the next race (with Ultra-II's I could get 5 on one race and would be lucky to get 1 or 2 of the next). I shoot with a Canon 1DS Mark I.

With my Canon 20D's, the additional speed doesn't seem to matter during use BUT unloading the card into the computer is significantly faster. I am using my backup card for temporary backups, transfers, kind of like floppies were used for, so many years ago. Much faster than a DVD-RW.
Works perfectly and very fast.

Purchased this card when I got my Sony Alpha DSLR - took 1500 pics before trip to Hawaii, uploaded to computer and erased card then took over 1000 pics in Hawaii and have had no problems. The 4MB size is the max allowed in my camera, so I want to get a duplicate.
