Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I started with the smaller version -only slightly smaller but my 1D MkII's stressed the zipper. LowePro upgraded me to the larger for a small fee instead of repairing the old one. That's cool! Top Rate!!
I fly with this fully loaded and fits in overheads with fair ease and I stuff it full. never had any troubles.
Leaves me hands free to carry other gear if I'm working solo.
Very good back and I highly recommend it and LowePro for outstanding service. Holds (see photo) - 1Ds Mk3, 1D Mk3 - x2 580's speedlights, 4 pocket wiz. 28-70. 2,8, 16-35, 70-200,cords, 24-TS, 45-TS, 1.4 convert,tape,speedlight transmitter, Sekonic L-358. Monopod, 50mm macro and many bits and bobs.

I use it to carry all my gear to the field. It holds all my gear anthen some.
