This battery holds much more charge than the "factory" external battery which I just sold. Quantum makes the best batteries for external power sources that I have ever used.

I would highly suggest this battery pack. It's been very reliable for my Canon 580EX II and it light weight helps me travel light when I'm on location shooting outdoor portraits
