This is a great flash holder, the studs have 2 different thread sizes so it's sure to fit any light stand or even tripod. I like how the large handle is repositionable by just pulling on it and rotating--doing so doesn't loosen or tighten the nut. I use this for speedlights and umbrellas and it works great.
A Swivel that does the job.

Use this as a brolly holder to shoot strobes through. Works well enough without being spectacular, and does the job reliably.
Only one problem, when you buy it you may have to switch the ends around (put the hotshoe on the other end)as when I received mine, and as other people have said, it has been on the wrong end.

Product performs brilliantly AFTER a few mods.
1) Shoe mount comes installed on wrong end. (Note I'm the second person to say this) It's an easy swap, but c'mon guys.
2) Adorama claims it will mount on a 1/4 or 3/8 threaded top or onto studs up to 5/8" - but I can't find a single light stand (some of which ARE Adorama stands) that the brass mount fits.
Once I fiddled with the screw mounts and swapped the shoe for the other side, this baby became invaluable. Seriously, probably one of the handiest tools I've ever purchased.

The hot shoe mount does not stay screwed in very well, its always loose. In addition, my Photek II Softlighter umbrella does not fit very snugly into the umbrella mount. I can't tilt it very much, or it will slide too far in/out.

I purchased two of these to use on my existing stands with Softlighter II's, and SB600 and an SB800. The SB800 slid into the holder, but the SB600 would not go without some wrangling. The scew in adapter was a little difficult to get out, and the holder tolerances were bad, so it screwed in an 1/8 turn more than it should have. These are all pretty minor complaints, but the softlighter II umbrella shaft was too small for the hole and subsequent screw in tightener. Maybe I was using it incorrectly, but it did not meet my expectations. I was not able to adjust the umbrella once the SB's were in place.

The unit had to be taken apart and reassembled. The flash bracket was installed in the wrong end. More importantly, my Canon430EX doesn't fit all the way in to the bracket. I can get it partially in, and lock it down tight enough that I HOPE that it doesn't slip out accidentally.

Really sturdy although body and swivel are made of plastic. Well thought out fixing, could mount on most anything. High quality aluminum flash shoe milled to provide clearance for hot shoe contacts. Top and bottom adaptors plated steel with. Lots of utility and value for the money.

I bought two adapters to hold an SB800 and an SB600. The shoe grooves were tight on the SB600. In 2 minutes I filed the groove to open it up and now it works great. Puchased with 2 stands and Adorama umbrellas. The difference is incredible compared to flash units alone. The light is very soft and still works with the camera's Commander mode/iTTL.

I was looking for something to allow me to use my 8 mm umbrellas with my 7 mm Elinchrom Flash units and these were the perfect solution. It took me a few minutes to get the Swivel Holder set up but once I got it connected to my stand I was able to connect the umbrella easily and easily adjust the position of both it and the flash separately or both in unison.
