Good, simple, robust flash. I use it for fill light with portraits, indoor/outdoor night and low-light shots and candids. If you are looking for a simple no-nonsense flash, this is it. It is this simplicity that appeals to me. Others may find this limiting and desire more detailed control. If so, the 530 Super may be a better choice. This flash fires well and has a fast recharge time. Works well with my Canon 5D.

I purchased this lens for it's high GN, but never assumed that a modern flash wouldn't have an LCD screen on the back or have manual settings. The specs should read 1/1 OR 1/16 as opposed to using the word "to". The manual settings where limited to manual high(full power) and manual low(1/16 power). Aside from that, I assume that it must have some redeeming qualities...But, why bother?
