Overall these are the most bang for the buck you can get in a 220W, 4 tube fixture. I own three for general studio use and tabletop work. They're bright, and ready to go out of the box. The flaws are that the color temp. is not perfect for "daylight" so you need to be careful to gel them if you want to get closer to 5600K. The stand mount is suitable, but far from outstanding, and a yoke would be preferred over the T-channel mount that is used - it's versitile, but for obvious safety reasons I would not mount them overhead. I don't think they would survive field use, even though these are solid metal and seem robust, the corners are cast and not machined, so I had one corner crack almost right out of the box. Overall a good fixture and a great value - could be great if they didn't skimp on a few details (machined aluminum, a slightly better ballast and a yoke would be worth some extra pennies).

I'm a Director of Photography in the TV Industry. I've been using this product and it fullfills everything I needed it to do. The construction is NOT weak, however it's still a fragile fixture. My only issue with this light is that the bulbs are not "Pure" daylight, they have some slight green to them. For the Money this is an excellent bag for the Buck.

These reliable fluorescent lights offer a continuous lighting source for photography. Includes a high frequency ballast and gives daylight illumination. Four leaf metal barn door reflectors come textured with a silvery surface for even light reflection. Light has a tilting bracket so you can turn the light on the stand. All FL series housings use 55 Watt Daylight Fluorescent Bulbs. (Replacement Bulb for FL Lights #SPFL-55W)
