• The Seal 500T-X is a table-top, heat-activated dry mount press featuring electronic temperature control. It utilizes uniform heat and pressure to mount, laminate and texturize prints on substrates up to 1" thick. Develops 2600 lbs. of pressure on its large 26x34" (66x86cm) platen and can handle work in sections up to 52" (132cm) wide by any length. Simple pressure adjustments are made in seconds by simply turning pressure knobs on top of the press. Extended temperature range thermostatically controlled from 150-350F degrees. Non-stick surface. Direct temperature readout for precise control. 120v, 14.2amps, 1700w.

hongqi l  Wonder Whether containing chromium?
MATTHEW H  I am not sure what your concern is about Chromium. This is a Heat Press for fusing items together such as a photograph to mat board. The machine uses pressure and heat to melt a sheet of adhesive (Dry Mount Tissue) that is sandwiched between the photograph and substrate. There are no pigments, stainless steel or chromed parts involved, which are typical uses for Chromium.

Andrew R  Doubtful. As indicated in the product overview, maximum temp for this unit is 350f.
Shopper  how do i adjust the pressure on my seal 500t-x dry press?
Helen O  1. With the press off (and cool), check the pressure adjustment by placing the assembled materials inside and closing (but locking) the press. The lever arms should be at a 45 degree angle to the top of the table. If not, then proceed to adjust the pressure. 2. With the press still off, close and lock the press with the materials to be processed inside (or materials of equal thickness). 3. Loosen the knurled locking nuts (located on the top of the press). You may need to open the press, add additional thickness to the materials and close and lock the press in order to loosen the nuts. 4. Once the nuts are loosened, return the press to the closed but not locked position. 5. Turn each pressure adjusting screw (clockwise to decrease pressure, counter-clockwise to increase pressure). Make sure that the screws are adjusted so that each arm of the press is at the same 45 degree angle. 6. Close and lock the press, then tighten each knurled locking nut.
